About The Cast

About DM David

DM David has been gaming entirely too long.  He was a scant 9 years old when his cousins introduced him to Dungeons & Dragons, and he never looked back.  He's played a lot of systems over the years, including Star Frontiers, Gamma World, Traveller (took three tries to have a character survive chargen), Champions, Marvel Superheroes (every incarnation) Shadow Run, various World of Darkness games, and lots and lots (and lots) of Unisystem games.  He's also been known to engage in LARP from time to time.

When he's not gaming, he's goofing off at work in the Arlington Public Library, or pursuing one of his other interests.  He draws (and partly writes) a web comic called Domino Girls, and posts random stuff on his blog: The Astounding Mr. Goodner's Amazing Electric Widgets.

David is a published author in the RPG biz.  His most recent publication was a complation of his RPG.net column, The Play's the Thing, by Technomancer Press.

About DM Kate

DM Kate is the baby gamer (and youngest) of the Radio Free Hommlet crew.  She began gaming after marrying a gamer (DM Tim) and has been playing for about 5 years now.  Her system expertise is limited to the ones that have been played within her regular group (formed about 5 years ago and going strong, once a week).  She's not a huge rules person, but since DM Tim is good about sharing his rules twinking, she manages to get by in HERO as well as the next person.

In the Real World, Kate has 2 degrees in music with which she is doing nothing, spending her days instead playing with her dog Gandalf.  She is also a kinetic learner who really enjoys various arts and crafts, primarily knitting and hanging out with her Ladies Pestering Society.

About DM Tim

TimRayburn-web2DM Tim has been playing games since sometime in the mid 80s, having been introduced by a family friend to red-box Dungeons & Dragons.  He's spent a lot of time playing other systems though.  Through most of his college years in the mid-90s he was addicted to Vampire The Masquerade, and HERO System.  Tabletop gaming, computer games and particularly MUSHing (AmberMUSH primarily, some WoD MUSHes) were the downfall of his college GPA and career.  But after college he began to evolve a preference in lighter mechanic systems, and can lately be found often playing Unisystem, Unisystem Lite, and other "lite" systems.  He has strong hopes for the K.I.S.S. principle will be carried strongly through the upcoming Fourth Edition release.

Despite an incomplete run at college, Tim spends his daytime hours as an IT Consultant specializing in Microsoft BizTalk Server.  He is a Principal Consultant with Sogeti USA, and has been recognized as a Microsoft MVP for BizTalk Server.  His father, Ray Rayburn, is an audio engineer and so Tim grew up around microphones, speakers, mixing consoles, etc.  This gave him a solid grounding him the technology necessary to put on a quality podcast.  After hearing the Order 66 Podcast, he decided that the idea he had been kicking around for a while was worth doing, because he had seen it done well.  He pulled together DM Jackson and DM David and Radio Free Hommlet is what fell out.
